The old Sed Contra used to have quite a community of people who would chime in on various topics, which might or might not be closely tied to the original post. If you have something to say, don’t be shy.

If the comment thread on this post gets long and unwieldy (I wish!), I’ll set up a fresh one.

By the way, I didn’t notice a comment policy spelled out explicitly anywhere on David’s blog, but “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” would seem to cover it.

  1. Any ideas what happened to good ol’ David? I’ve wondered about him often. His book was instrumental in bringing me back to the Catholic Church. Is it no longer in print?

  2. Hi Brad,
    Thanks for visiting!
Last month Eve Tushnet linked to a speaking engagement of David’s in the DC area.
    http://www.blessedsacramentdc.org/event/2010-03-16-conversation-about-the-church-and-same-sex-marriage/

As for his book, I see Amazon has some used copies (as well as, bizarrely, new copies from $232.68!).

Hope that helps. I know you’re not the only one who feels a debt of gratitude to David.

  3. Sure looks like it, Dan, if you check out his About page.

I appreciate your bringing his blog to my attention, and I’m sure others share your interest. I’m not sure where David is at right now, and it looks as if he’s trying to figure that out himself. So I will read with interest.

  4. I just happen to do a little Goggle search, wondering where David was up to, and found it. As to where David is “at”, I think that David will probably respond if asked. I wasn’t at the speaking engagement that you refered to above, but someone who was blooged about it at:
    http://blog.adw.org/2010/03/conversations-same-sex-attraction/
    and described him thus:
“David Morrison, who we heard at Conversations, is still attracted to men. He lives a chaste lifestyle, and while he no longer calls his partner a “lover” they continue to have a deep friendship.”
I suspect that he got tired of being “the answer man” for the cause and the poster boy for a life “beyond gay”.

  5. Is there any way that one can find a particular blog entry? I’m looking for a specific date and can’t seem to get to it. Thanks for your help.
